Management
First learned in Boy Scouts, I believe in empowering direct reports, providing required training and additional optional training opportunities, and allowing my team to grow where their passion leads.
General IT Support
Often thought of as “help desk work”, I’m versed in supporting end users of all tech skill levels in their computer use needs and issue troubleshooting.
Web Administration
I have significant experience performing Web Admin duties with Joomla & WordPress CMS’s, with HTML CSS PHP JavaScript MySQL, website backup / recovery, migrations and upgrades, and all aspects of DNS configuration.
Hardware
Starting with ‘upgrading’ (disassembly) PCs in my youth, soldering replacement power barrels and installing power pigtails in laptops in past positions, to building SMB servers, I enjoy all aspects of computer and related hardware.
Networking
I enjoy everything from structured cabling (designing, crimping and running cables) to LAN configuration (DNS, exploit prevention) to Wi-Fi configuration to mapping and reworking existing LANs. Similarly, Single Sign-On with SAML is a passion of mine.
Technical SME
I have extensive experience as the technical subject matter expert in software support teams providing assistance and direction, escalation support, and direct-to-developer escalations including detailed review for development.
